Alright folks- here goes. On August 3rd, 2008, 4pm Eastern, 1pm Pacific my final XMU show for the summer will take place- so be sure to tune in!!!

This show will feature some great artists I’ve found by word of mouth and from various blogs such as Obscure Sound, Good Weather For Airstrikes and Stereogum.

So far all the artists I’ve contacted have been wonderfully cooperative and helpful in giving me super high quality tracks (both format wise, and sonically ;D ) so be sure to tune in.

On this show we’ll hear from artists such as…

- Faded Paper Figures, FPF Myspace
- Gotye, Gotye MySpace
- Passion Pit, Passion Pit MySpace
- Florence & The Machine, F&tM MySpace
- The Morning Benders, tMB MySpace

and many more!!!!

If you need more info- take a look at this:

The show is on August 3rd- 4pm Eastern, 1pm Pacific on XM Satellite Radio channel 43 and is available on DirectTV channel 83.

I’m a student at American University and have a weekly radio show that I call Dexter’s Lab (dexslab.net) . I’ve been chosen to do 3 shows on XMU XM Ch 43 over the summer. The program I am doing the shows through is called the XMU Student Exchange Program- it is when college radio stations, are chosen to represent their school on XMU. I was chosen as the DJ to create the shows and represent my school. The show has the potential to reach 9 million listeners.

From XMU/XM

“XMU is the perfect college radio station. There are no commercials, and no coporate dictates. XMU is an amazing outlet for musicians who are doing things their own way, and staying true to art. Similar to college kids on the radio, these musicians do what they want, but they only do what feels right…and really, that sums up XMU…it’s about the Music!

XMU is allowing colleges and humans across the globe the opportunity to take over the XMU airwaves on XM RADIO, XM43 & DIRECTV831.

Every Sunday XMU will allow college radio stations to take over the airwaves. If you think your school should be considered, please don’t contact us directly, please have The Program Director of the College’s Radio Station email us at xmu at xmradio dot com.”
